Why is there condensation on my windows?Condensation occurs when warm, moist air comes into contact with cooler surfaces, like your window glass on a cold winter day. It can happen any time warm, humid air meets a cold surface. This is completely normal, and you might actually notice it more on high-quality, energy-efficient windows because they help keep heat inside. Condensation is especially common in well-insulated homes, as it traps both heat and moisture, making it easier for condensation to form. Everyday activities like cooking, showering, and even breathing contribute more moisture to the air than we realize, which is why it can build up quickly in these tightly sealed homes. While condensation inside the home is normal, it shouldn't form between the glass panes of your windows.
-
What is Air Leakage?Air leakage refers to the movement of air through small gaps or cracks around your windows. While it’s impossible to completely eliminate air from finding a way through, we design our windows to minimize this as much as possible, helping to reduce drafts, improve energy efficiency, and maintain comfort in your home. Both our window series have an air leakage performance rating of <=0.3, ensuring top-notch sealing and efficiency. It’s important to note that air leakage typically only occurs in operable windows (those that open and close).
